CONSULTATION 

​

Consultation is a method whereby mental health clinicians help to improve the functioning of individuals, families, and other social systems (school, work, and many different professionals); and to assist them in dealing with the psychological aspects of problems.

 

We employs to the following types of consultation methods:

 

Client-Centered Case Consultation: to assess a client; make a diagnosis; and develop treatment or intervention plan.

 

Consultee-Centered Case Consultation:  to assess and remediate consultee’s (individual, spouse, employer, organization, etc.) difficulties (lack of knowledge, skill, confidence, or objectivity), with client(s) improvement as a secondary goal.

 

Program-Centered Administrative Consultation:  to assess problems surrounding the design or administration of a program(s), institutional policies or procedures, or some aspect of organizational functioning; and provides a set of recommendations for addressing the problem(s).

 

Consultee-Centered Administrative Consultation: to assess the professional functioning of members of the organization’s administrative staff, with the goal of improving their knowledge and skills, decision making or problem-solving skills in dealing with organizational problems.
